A bhajan (Hindi: भजन) is a song of devotion to the Almighty.
It has no prescribed form, or set rules.
The bhajan in free form, is normally lyrical and based on melodic raags.
It is usually a group event, with one or more lead singers, accompanied with music.
Bhajans are usually sung in a temple, in a home, under a tree in the open, near a river bank or a place of historic significance.
