Saturday, 24-Oct-2015 evening, I organized my second music show under my own banner, for an audience of 65 people.
The venue was a large airconditioned hall in the Chembur Gymkhana, Chembur, Mumbai.

I compèred the show and we sang a total of 15 songs, plus an opening

The singers were:

I had hired electronics equipment: microphones, an NX-audio POD-1600 powered mixer with 450+450 Wrms and a pair of 450W passive loudspeakers from a local music company, who is now a good friend.

We sang 15 songs:

The background score was played using minus-one digital track files playing out of a laptop computer.

One of the challenges of singing with a pre-recorded music track is that the background score will neither ever skip a beat to match your entry nor ever lengthen a beat to let you catch up.
As a singer you must know the music by-heart and make your entries at the right moment, tuned to the beats, or gaps between them, as the case may be, with well timed crotchets, quavers and semiquavers.
Any mistake will cumulatively build up to a muddy rhythm.

By way of comparison, an orchestra played by humans can be more forgiving and tweak the rhythm to cover-up a singer going momentarily out of time.

Here are a few of the songs we sang:

(8) गुलाबी आँखें जो तेरी देखीं from The Train(1970).

And here is the whole programme. The entire hour, 25 minutes and 49 seconds of it.

The music show was very well received by the audience, and earned us lots of goodwill and praise.
